About the activity

Interwoven is a Dutch-Ukrainian contemporary art project hosted at Vrij Paleis, a vibrant cultural space near Dam Square in Amsterdam. This exhibition brings together artists from both countries, showcasing their work and fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

As a Gallery Guide, you will welcome visitors, provide basic exhibition information, and help guests engage with the artwork. No prior art knowledge is needed—just an interest in culture and a friendly, approachable attitude! Volunteers will receive an overview of the exhibition in advance, as well as drinks and snacks during their shift.

Do I need to live the Netherlands to be able to join?

Yes! Only people who live in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately we can’t help people with a visa.

Is this a suitable project for me?

This role is perfect for art lovers and sociable volunteers who enjoy engaging with people, discussing contemporary art, and creating a welcoming atmosphere at events.

What language skills are needed?

English is required, Dutch/Ukrainian is a plus!
